Former Bloemfontein Celtic winger Thapelo Morena was unveiled this morning at Chloorkop as a Mamelodi Sundowns player.
According to the Soccer Laduma website, he was unveiled as a Masandawana player on Wednesday evening (17 August 2016), and will be joining his new team-mates along when they go for CAF Champions League glory when they face Nigerian giants Enyimba in their final group match. They continued to say that he might also get an opportunity from Coach Pitso Mosimane to play in the game but only if the coach decides to register him in this year’s Champions League campaign. It all depends on the extent of Keagan Dolly’s injury who has been rested since he sustained a hamstring injury in the Rio Olympics Football competition that the 23 year-old from Randfontein (Gauteng) will play.
Thapelo Morena is Mamelodi Sundowns’ fourth signing of the season as Coach Pitso Mosimane signed in former Free State Stars player Lucky Mohomi, 2013/14 PSL Player of the Season Sibusiso Vilakazi and Brazillian defender Ricardo Nascimento.
