The murder and rape fugitives were recently caught after being on the run since December 2015. The convicted fugitives are between the ages of 19 and 21 managed to stay away from police by adapting new personalities in the different provinces they both travelled to.
According to the crime stats website 0-20% of South African crimes are committed in the North West meaning that there is a lower focus on fugitives and criminal activities however this all changed after the murder of Qholoma which was committed by the two men. An immediate investigation was conducted and it led the police to the fugitives. The suspects were found on the run at two different places, the first who is 21 was found at Ikageng near Potchestrom and the 2nd was found in Rustenburg.
Communities in North West have expressed their joy and have showed gratitude to the police who showed commitment to their jobs. The now caught fugitives are expected to appear in court on Monday.
