By Bekithemba Ndebele

Controversial Sodwana Bay Guest House owner Andre Slade is unapologetic about his racist remarks  and also decisions of not allowing government employees into his guest house.

Slade told a Durban woman Sizakele Msimango in an e-mail that,“We do not accommodate blacks or government employees any longer.”

After the controversial e-mail of Slade, the African National Congress (ANC) supporters marched and chanted songs which criticised Slade outside the lodge on Wednesday 29 June 2016.

Slade’s partner Katarina showed his support for Slade and also that she stands by her man, and also believes black people were created to be servants .

She said, “Blacks are servants and God made it like that. He’s so smart he can fix your cellphone, he can do anything (sic).”

Meanwhile, Slade’s Sodwana Bay Guest House was shut down following an inspection by the Umhlatuze environmental health department.

However, KwaZulu-Natal Tourism MEC Sihle Zikalala had filed a case of hate speech, illegal operation and tax evasion against Slade.

Andre Slade says his decisions are not guided by the Constitution. Therefore, if summoned by the court he will simply refuse to appear in the court.
