According to ER24, A 10-year-old boy was killed at the early morning of 29 June 2016, after he was hit by a bakkie on the N1, 5km outside of Worcester in Western Cape.
When the ER24 paramedics, along with provincial services, arrived on the scene they found the boy already dead. His body was found lying on the embankment next to the road. The family members and friends who were with the boy where found kneeling down surrounding the boy.
The paramedics discovered that the child had sustained numerous injuries to his head, chest and abdomen, reported ER24.
Unfortunately, the child was declared dead at the scene by the autorities.
It is understood that the boy had attempted to cross the busy road when he was hit by the vehicle.
A full report is soon to be released when the local authorities are done with the investigations.
