Over 100 passengers sustain injuries from trains collision in Durban

A total of 131 people sustained moderate to minor injuries following a collision of two trains on Swinton Road in the south of Durban.

According to Netcare spokesperson Athlenda Mathe the Netcare 911 paramedics and various other emergency services are on the scene treating the injured and assessing them to establish how severe they are badly injured. There are no reports of any death from the incident.

The authorities are on the scene and the cause of the incident will form part of an investigation. The injured passengers have been transported to various provincial hospitals in and around Durban.
