The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) MPs were forcibly removed once again from the National Assembly on Tuesday.
EFF MPs were attempting block President Jacob Zuma from answering MPs’ questions, saying it cannot be “business as usual” especially after the concourt judgement on Nkandla.
“It is unfair and unacceptable that the parliament does not see anything wrong, even when when the con court made serious findings against Mr Zuma. Nothing is happening” said Malema
The speaker Baleka Mbete took a decision after appealing to the MPs to continue with business of the day. Mbete decided to call on protection officers based on the rule of parliament to remove members who are an obstacle on the house.
Members of EFF were hauled out of the chamber while exchanging blows with the protection officers.
Malema briefed the media and his supporters outside the parliament. He said we are not going to continue as business as usual.
“The ANC want this matter closed, it will never be closed until Zuma resigns as the president,” said Malema
Malema said they are left with nothing except to engage with the programme. They were the ones who took the Nkandla debacle to court.
“Whether is the negative image of the parliament or not, you will thank us once we restore the dignity of this parliament by removing Zuma.”
Malema said they will fight back with everything they have. They have tried everything peaceful.
