The high profile forensic consultant Paul O’Sullivan was arrested on Friday night for allegedly violating immigration act. The arrest occurred at Oliver Tambo international airport, in Johannesburg, as he was fleeing to UK with his children.
O’Sullivan appeared at Kempton Park Magistrate court on Monday. His bail application was granted at the amount of R20,000 and may not leave the country. However, the case will resume on the 6th of May 2016.
According to the court papers, Paul O’Sullivan’s passports have been confiscated and he is not allowed to apply for another one.
According to The Sunday Times, Home-Affairs spokesman Mayihlome Tshwete said O’Sullivan has multiple passports and has allegedly been using certain ones to enter the country while leaving South Africa with others.
